We’re Laura and Monica, the gals behind Carat Collective, and Wedding Planners in Vancouver, BC.
As recent brides reminiscing about our weddings over champagne and snacks; we realized that we have the opportunity to put our passion for weddings and professions in project management and community building together.
We’re here to handle the planning so that engaged couples can enjoy the pure bliss of this special time in their lives.

Laura Daly
A self-proclaimed serial organizer, both in my personal and professional life, I take pride in ensuring every detail is meticulously curated to perfection. My passion for creating unforgettable weddings ignited during the planning of my own dream destination wedding in the beautiful Tuscan countryside of Italy. The experience was nothing short of magical, leaving me with an insatiable desire to help others create their perfect moments.
Armed with a Bachelor of Business Management and backed by seven years of invaluable experience as a project manager, I bring a unique blend of organizational finesse and strategic planning to the world of weddings. My career has equipped me with the skills to navigate the intricate details of wedding planning, ensuring a seamless and stress-free journey for you and your partner.
Beyond the world of wedding planning, I thrive on challenges, exemplified by competing in my first Olympic distance triathlon last year.

Monica Tomas
Marketer by profession, choir singer on the weekends, and event planner! I love taking an idea, creating a brief and workback schedule, and watching it come to fruition. Throughout my four years of experience in community and brand marketing, it's been a journey with valuable learnings and applied improvements at the next opportunity. I graduated with my Bachelor of Business Administration with a dual concentrations in marketing and operations management. As a type-a personality, naturally throughout my life I've been the sole coordinator of events. From being the Vice President of Events for the Marketing Association at SFU, to helping plan local and international events for various companies; and most recently, my wedding!
When I'm not planning, you'll find me watching a good movie with my hubby, in the stands cheering for my brothers at lacrosse games, or catching up with loved ones over good food!
